So today I was blessed with the opportunity to meet one of the “higher ups” in Burger King. This experience was about the same as every other… district manager encounter that I’ve ever experienced. It began with me walking into work and not knowing what was going on. Walking behind the counter, clocking in, and then BAM! DOTHISDOTHATDOTHISDOTHAT! Like a fucking hurricane, you have no clue what’s going on. Then the manager runs around like she’s having a seizure and yells at everyone. Then I realized someone high up must be coming.
Analyzing this I wonder why people react like this. You can only try your hardest and you are more likely to mess it all up when you freak out. The guy coming to visit is just another person doing his job. He has to eat, sleep, shit, and go home to his family the same as anyone else. He’s just a person. Unfortunately, I am an empath so I feel what people around me feel and I am susceptible to their moods. So at this point I’m angry, worried, disconcerted, hopeless, lost and curious all at the same time which is very confusing. Suffice to say it was a very fun day at work.
Alternately I was able to come home and… damn… not much. Well work was amusing, I got to see my manager do the nervous boss dance.

You blogging style is getting so much better! I was nicely entertained by this.
Lol, I got to miss out on the DMs when I worked at HMS Host, for the most part. They were there on my days off. I hear they made people memorize some demoralizing, brain-washing chant and recite it to them. You were at AirTran by then, I think.
But anyway, at least they didn’t make you do that.
